Over a period of 4 months I got the chance to work as a freelance 3D weapon artist for Ataraxis Entertainment where I had to crate 6 unique weapons that will be given as rewards for achievements in their game or as boss drops. A Traitor's End is their debut project and it happens during the battles between the Byzantine Empire and Anatolia in 1097 AD where adventure, betrayal and unlikely friendships await the players. Since A Traitor's End is a historical game I had to do extensive reference research and understand not only how Byzantine and Seljuk weapons were made, but also from what materials. I learned a lot in the process and I really enjoyed challenging myself to add as many details as possible while keeping a low poly count.
Make sure to check out the game when it's out!
